Willetton Senior High School
Students who reside in the Burrendah Primary School local catchment area are eligible to attend Willetton Senior High School (SHS). Students living outside of the boundaries can apply, however due to the current, high student numbers at Willetton SHS, there is no guarantee places will be available.
Students in Year 6 who are eligible to enrol at Willetton SHS receive an enrolment package from the highschool early in Term 2. In Term 4 our Year 6 students attend the highschool for a day of orientation. Students enrolling at an alternative highschool attend orientation according to the day of their highschool’s program.
Willetton SHS offers a number of specialist and extension programs, covering a variety of learning areas. Additional information on these programs is available on their website.
Sharing a campus ensures that Burrendah students have opportunities to work collaboratively with the staff and students of Willetton SHS:
- Selected Burrendah Primary School senior students are able to study Japanese and spend one hour each week engaging in extension classes with specialist high school teachers on site at Willetton SHS.
- As part of work experience requirements Willetton SHS Year 11 and 12 students support classroom learning at Burrendah Primary School. High school students accumulate industry work experience hours in fields such as Community Service and Certificate 2 Education Assistant.
