Burrendah Primary School is introducing the use of Connect to communicate with the school community and share important notices, newsletters and forms. Classroom teachers will also use Connect to share information relevant to their students.
Connect is a secure online environment developed by the Department of Education for staff, students and parents in public schools. It gives our teachers a tool to deliver content to the students via an online classroom. This means your children are able to share with you what they are learning about, submit assignments and discuss issues together online anywhere, anytime. For you, Connect provides easy access to information relevant to your child’s classes.

Please be aware that not all fuctions are available on the Connect Now app.
For Communication Protocols, please refer to the Communities tab and select Communication.
Will you inform me when there's a message or notice in Connect?
Yes. Currently when a teacher of your child/ren or school administration publishes a Notice an email is automatically sent to you letting you know a notice has been created. The message is included in the email, however if you wish to access the images or files that are attached or add a comment (if the teacher has encouraged you to respond), you will be required to log onto Connect.
What if I don’t really use email?
Connect Now, a mobile app, enables all Connect parents to use their single sign on account details and stream all of the Notices and discussions in any of their child/ren’s classes to their personal mobile device. The app is free and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Can I reply to messages?
The teacher will sometimes invite you to respond to messages. When this happens a Comment button will be visible under the Connect Notice. For guidelines on Communication Protocols, please refer to the Communities tab and select Communication.
Who else sees the class notices?
Only students and parents attached to a teacher’s class are able to access and read class notices.
What if I forget my login details?
You are able to set verification questions to reset your own password or if you prefer contact the school if you forget your login details. This is only accessible via the website browser and not via the app.
Can I access copies of my child's reports?
Yes, these are accessible on the website and Connect Now app.
Can I inform the school of my child’s absence from school through Connect?
Yes, you can inform the school of your child’s absence through Connect and monitor their attendance in the My Children tab of Connect.
Can I inform the school changes to my email address through Connect?
Yes, click the My Connect tab and in the Profile section click the Change Email button.
